Science and the Bible Part II-Reverse movement of time

“But do not ignore this one fact, beloved , that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day”(II Peter 3:8) “Behold God is great, and we know Him not, the number of His years is unsearchable” (Job 36:26). This Bible verse teaches us the limitation of time. Before God, man’s one day is equivalent to a thousand years. Also, man’s a thousand years is equivalent to one day. Here we see the ‘compressibility’ and ‘extensibility’ of time. I . e. Time moves backward as well as forward. Before my Saviour and the Lord of all, Jesus Christ, who is ‘Alpha and Omega’ (Revelation 21:6), Time moves forward, backward; (Isaiah 38:8) and stops (Revelation 21:6). Time is comprehensible, if space is sufficiently large. Let us examine an axiom. Consider 6 men, viz. A, B, C, D, E and F are arranged to stand on a straight line in East-West direction, as shown in the following diagram. The distance between each of them is one light second; i.e. the distance travel...

God is Light

“This is the message we have heard from Him (Jesus) and proclaim to you that God is light and in Him is no darkness” (I John 1:5).           The Bible teaches us that God is light.           What does science say about light?         Light is the most difficult one the scientists came across. It is an elusive question. Scientists say that light is energy. By definition, energy is the ability to do work and it occupies no space. i.e. energy needs no space to occupy. While all other energies such as sound, magnetism, electricity etc are easily comprehensible, the scientific world grope in the darkness to comprehend      light, as explained below.              a. Light - Matter or Energy?  (dual nature)           Light sh...

Science and the Bible Part-1

Please post your valuable comments   Science changes                                    In 1805, the eminent scientist John Dalton postulated that the atoms, the smallest particles of an element, are indivisible, as implied by the word itself. (Tom means divisible and atom means indivisible). The Bible says-” ...the elements shall melt with fervent heat” (II Peter 3:10). When another great scientist Fermi successfully conducted the nuclear explosion (fission) for the first time, John Dalton was proved to be wrong and the Bible to be true. In the course of time, and at different stages of   growth of science, the Bible seemed to contradict with science. But the later developments in science, proved beyond doubt, that the Bible verses are one hundred percent true.              ...

Regeneration of Job

Please post your valuable comments In order to decipher spiritual truths, we must know two languages-1) spiritual language in the absolute sense and 2) the worldly language in the relative sense. The spiritual books such as the Bible, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Quran, Vedas etc. uses both the languages to convey the ideas and messages to the mankind.    The Bible is written in a dual sense:            (1)      Absolute sense                              The Absolute sense is the sense of the spirit. i.e. when it is mentioned light, it means perfect light and when it is mentioned   good, it means perfectly good.      (2)Relative sense.   The relative sense is the sense of the human beings. In relative sense, when it is mentioned light, it j...

Relative sense and absolute sense in Bible

Image
Please post your valuable comments Home The Bible is written in a dual sense: i.e.     (1)     Absolute sense and           (2)     Relative sense. Absolute sense is the sense of the spirit. i.e. when it is mentioned light, it means perfect light and when it is mentioned  good, it means perfectly good. The relative sense is the sense of the human beings. In relative sense, when it is mentioned light, it just means that it is more lit than any other area of less light. i.e. in comparison with another area of less light, or with a fixed standard, it is light. e.g. when compared with bright sunlight, the moonlight is dark. The same moonlight is bright in comparison with a dark night. i.e. the brightness of the moon is dark in comparison with sunlight and it is bright in comparison with the dark night. Similar is the case of mentioning of good, hot, cold etc. Human knowledge fel...
